CEUs and In-Location  Service Provider Training

Massage Envy Sarasota/Bradenton is proud to offer additional training and CEUs for our LMT staff. CEU classes are provided at no cost for Massage Envy employees as a benefit of your employment, and you will not be paid to take these classes.  Service training for RTR, Stretch, and Enhancement training, where CEUs are not earned, will be paid at the hourly training rate.  Please direct all questions to your location manager.

New! Advanced Shoulder Complex Techniques - LIVE CEU (4 hours), Instructor: David Valentine

This workshop introduces a series of new, advanced massage techniques that go beyond just manipulating muscles and address fascia. Just using light to medium pressure, these powerful techniques have the ability to soften and ease tight, hardened fascia that restricts muscle movement. The result is that areas of the body that were previously stiff and painful will feel like they are “melting.” Not only will the pain be significantly reduced, if not eliminated, but range of motion will be vastly improved. 

Injury Prevention and Self Care - LIVE CEU (6 hours), Instructor: Kevin Pierce

This course is a practical review of muscles and related common injuries found in the application of massage therapy along with proper body mechanics, application of force, self massage, and injury prevention techniques such as stretching and exercise to improve performance and longevity of the therapist’s career. If you were hired after 1/1/2022 this class is required. 

Integrated Techniques: Upper Body - LIVE CEU (6 hours), Instructor: Kevin Pierce

An exploratory class with the focus on mastery of combining a variety of massage techniques into a more comprehensive approach and increasing the awareness of the effects of massage applications to the upper body. This class includes a review of musculoskeletal anatomy and an exchange / feedback session to allow the participants to practice techniques, discuss applications and learn in a collaborative environment. If you were hired after 1/1/2022 this class is required. Please talk to your manager about your registration.

New! Integrated Techniques: Lower Body - LIVE CEU (6 hours), Instructor: Kevin Pierce

Prenatal Certification - LIVE CEU (12 hours), Instructor: Dustin Casey 

This course is for LMTs wanting to offer prenatal massage at Massage Envy or to meet Florida's live CEU requirement for renewal. This prenatal learning path includes a 4 hour live class, an online test, and 5 practical prenatal massages. 

In-Person Total Body Stretch Training, Instructor: Dustin Casey or Jenny Halla

This class is for anyone new to Total Body Stretch, or a refresher class for those LMTs already providing TBS and prefer a hands-on class. The TBS learning path includes completing the required MEU training course and receiving a TBS session before participating in this class, as well as 6 practical stretch sessions after the class. (The practical sessions are not required if you take this class as a refresher)

Enhancement Practical Lab, Instructors: Jenny Halla , Rosie Ramirez, or David Valentine

This lab is the hands-on component to Enhancement Training. This lab is after MEU training and manager review of an in-depth look at each of our Body Care Enhancements, what their benefits are, and how to use them to customize your clients session. If you were hired after 1/1/2022 this class is required. Please talk to your manager about your registration.

Rapid Tension Relief Service and Enhancement, Instructor: Jenny Halla

RTR enhancement and session training available as two (2) classes designed to be taken sequentially. The RTR learning path is intended for LMTs and Stretch Providers and includes completing an MEU training and receiving an RTR session before participating in this class, as well as 6 practical sessions after the class.


Customized Cupping, Instructor: Jenny Halla or David Valentine

This live cupping class is in addition to the required RockTape Online Cupping CEU. This hands-on approach will provide practical knowledge of how to perform the customized cupping enhancement using static and gliding techniques as well as the required draping protocols.  Two to three (based on previous experience) additional cupping practicals are required for certification. 

Salt Stone - PRACTICAL LAB, Instructor: Jenny Halla & David Valentine

In addition to the MEU training, all LMTs offering the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage Enhancement will need to complete and receive one supervised practical in one of the designated Himalayan Salt Stone Practical Labs. 

New! Dual Sweep RTR - PRACTICAL LAB, Instructor: Jenny Halla or Dustin Casey

This is a modified version of the previous Dual Sweep  using the option of 1 theragun. All LMTs offering will need to complete and receive two 30-minute  supervised practicals in one of the designated 3 hour Dual Sweep Practical Labs.
